Adjustment, contact and inspection

Smooth fixed neoprene at the nose and crown separates this copper headcollar from the fleece-lined alternative. Polyester straps carry the adjustment points, and the metal throat clip opens the handling arrangement while the lower ring provides a place for a compatible lead. The lining is fixed, not a spare part designed to peel away for cleaning. Select a Pony, Cob or Full format using the horse's actual head shape as the reference. Adjust the crown and nose, then check that the edges of the lining lie evenly rather than curling against the skin. Keep the throat fastening clear of surrounding straps and establish a comfortable position before beginning supervised leading.

A wipeable-looking surface still needs thorough inspection. Clear grit from the lining edges, examine where neoprene joins the webbing and use the care label to determine how the complete halter should be cleaned. Dry the underside as well as the outer straps; a superficially dry crown can conceal moisture at a seam. Choose this construction if you specifically prefer a smooth synthetic contact layer and want to avoid maintaining a plush pile. It is not sold on a cooling or anti-rub guarantee, and lining cannot make an incorrectly selected format appropriate. Review the buckle holes, clip closure and stitched ring junction before each handling session. No breakaway performance is stated, so unattended use, tying and transport should not be inferred as approved applications from the presence of padding.
