Outline, attachment and care
Forest cotton diamond quilting gives this general-purpose saddle pad an uncomplicated starting point for a daily tack rotation. The cotton outer and contact face surround a polyester filling, with binding tracing the curved lower edge rather than a straight dressage flap. Girth loops and front attachment tabs provide the interface to the saddle arrangement; their position must be checked against your own tack. Choose the Pony or Full general-purpose format according to the saddle footprint you need to cover, not simply the horse height. Before fastening, set the pad underneath a suitably fitted saddle and lift its leading edge into the channel. Look around the complete perimeter to establish that the saddle does not bear directly on the binding.
Between rides, allow damp cotton to dry openly instead of folding it into a closed tack box. Brush away loose hair and surface grit before laundering, follow the supplied care label and reshape the edges while the fabric is still manageable. Check the attachment stitching during this routine, particularly where a loop bends around the girth. This is the practical choice when you favour a washable textile contact layer over felt or a synthetic mesh face. It is not intended to compensate for saddle imbalance, rubbing or inadequate channel clearance. If your current pad migrates backwards or develops uneven marks, describe that behaviour before choosing another thickness; an appropriate saddle-fit review may be needed rather than an extra pad.
