Outline, attachment and care
A polyester mesh contact face is the identifying feature of this copper training pad, paired with a woven polyester outer and quilted polyester filling. The mesh texture changes the surface against the horse; it is not a published promise of cooler skin or faster sweat removal. Its general-purpose cut and separate girth loops should be compared with the saddle arrangement you already have. Cob general-purpose and Full general-purpose are the selectable formats, each requiring an individual coverage check. Position the pad, raise the front into the saddle channel and ensure the loop routing does not distort the body. Look underneath the lower edge before fastening, particularly if your saddle has a forward flap that may call for the close-contact cut instead.
Open mesh can hold fragments of hair and grit that are less obvious from the copper outer face. Run a visual inspection across the underside after removing the tack, ease out loose debris and leave the material exposed to air. Read the product care label before washing, and keep rough hook-and-loop accessories away from the contact face during storage. This option suits a buyer who specifically wants a synthetic mesh-backed construction and is prepared to check that texture regularly. It should not be selected on an assumed medical or temperature benefit. For a washing routine centred on natural fibre faces, compare the cotton alternatives. If the pad bunches or shifts during work, investigate the fastening and saddle relationship before repeating the same arrangement.
